Sir Nick Faldo’s third edition of the Major Champions Invitational presented by Golf Saudi (MCI) once again lived up to its high billing, as 72 junior golfers assembled from around the world came together captained by 18 Major Champions. The tournament, hosted at Troon venue Lookout Mountain in Phoenix, saw the juniors chosen and mentored by some of the biggest names ever to play the game, such as Brooks Koepka, Tom Watson, Georgia Hall, Annika Sorenstam and Jack Nicklaus.
Performance54 worked with Sir Nick and his MCI team to deliver an integrated communications campaign across traditional, online and social media channels, helping to generate awareness and strengthen the MCI’s reputation as a world-class international amateur event featuring the best junior players in the world.
As well as help with the event branding through a refreshed logo rolled out across all event collateral and branding, Performance54 provided the support on-site at the event, managing the output of content distributed through MCI-owned social media channels, creating earned media opportunities via bespoke editorial pieces and conducting daily global media outreach with live news and scoring updates from the tournament. Influencer, The Jazzy Golfer, was also on the ground during the week, helping to amplify both tournament news and content, as well as creating content distributed through her own channels.
