The opportunity exists for a driven and organised Social Media Executive to join the Performance54 team, leading a team in its delivery of an extensive golf and corporate event portfolio. The desired candidate will be based out of our offices in the UK, KSA or Dubai, with regular international travel required.

A passion for the game of golf and experience in a social media role within the golf or sports industries are essential.

The candidate must also be comfortable working on multiple projects concurrently and meeting tight deadlines. Experience in working on communications programmes for major international events is highly desirable.


Strategy and Planning
o Working with the Social Media Manager, deliver a social media strategy and timeline, providing significant ROI to event partners
o Develop content strands and cross-channel social outputs to promote key messaging for each event, ensuring that all channels reinforce strategic narratives
o Pay attention to current benchmark trends and audience preferences, in order to inform content generation practices
o Contribute to activations both on site at and away from events primarily geared towards the development of engaging social media content
o Utilise time with players, stakeholders and members of the public in the creation of social media content generation schedules and posting plans

Social Media Management
o Generate, edit, publish and share the highest quality, engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
o Utilise cutting-edge technologies and integrate the latest social media trends, design tools and applications in order to establish all owned social channels as the most innovative within the golf space
o Work closely with Performance54’s creative design team and its Motion Graphic Specialist in development of engaging social media graphics and video content
o Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics, amending the strategic approach as required
o Perform a community engagement function, responding to queries and generating conversation within owned channels
o Ensure a professional appearance for all social media accounts at all times (timeline cover, profile pictures, bios)
o Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions

o Contribute to cohesive ways of working across the event marketing team to ensure full benefit is derived all marketing activity
o Cohesive working with internal and freelance content generation crews in the development of social media materials

Monitoring and Evaluation
o Utilise P54’s media monitoring systems for events to gauge progress and ROI
o Create first draft event reports with stakeholders in a timely manner throughout the campaign


o Proven work experience as a social media executive, delivering on behalf of respected golf brands or sporting events
o Hands on experience in content management, including working with content generation teams live and on site at events
o Knowledge of current trends relating to sports marketing and communications, with a particular understanding of social media trends and technologies
o Excellent copywriting skills, with an intimate understanding of golf terminology and a keen eye for detail
o Ability to think across and deliver content for a range of social channels, audiences and content types (text, graphic, image, video, GIFs, Carousel, etc)
o Excellent knowledge of SEO, keyword research, Google Analytics and digital advertising
o Ability to deal with information in a confidential manner and respond with sensitivity
o Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people
o Good organisational and analytical skills and the ability to manage a variety of tasks
o Administrative and IT skills, and an ability to maintain records and produce reports
