The opportunity exists for a dynamic, motivated, and experienced Event Manager (Operations) to join the Performance54 team, to support the execution of the company’s international portfolio of professional Tour events. The candidate will be responsible for operational management of onsite delivery, ensuring consistent quality and supporting stakeholders to make every event a success.

The desired candidate should have event experience and possess an understanding of the professional event ecosystem, have strong personal motivation, and be comfortable working both supervised and unsupervised. The candidate should enjoy traveling and be comfortable spending time away from home to deliver world-class events, while working as part of a team.


Responsible for the execution and delivery of essential details of an event and supported by Performance54 Management team, the candidate must be comfortable executing a variety of tasks:

Planning and Delivery

  • Understand and coordinate operations shipping and logistics
  • Manage cleaning scheduling, labour, and event execution
  • Manage and plan all golf related operations, including the ProAm.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers:
  • Coordinate bins, skips, waste management and recycling
  • Coordinate the planning and management of golf carts and event shuttles
  • Coordinate plant and build scheduling
  • Coordinate water, ice and fridges
  • Plan and oversee the onsite Health and Safety requirements of the event (including but not limited to):
  • Course evacuation plan
  • Compilation of operational insurance information for the event
  • Maintain a clean, safety compliant environment
  • Plan and coordinate event traffic and parking
  • Manage event permits
  • Plan and manage event security and accreditation
  • Plan and manage event medical resources
  • Plan and manage event radio communication

Leadership and Communication

  • Manage and support the team to plan and execute operational activities related to the build and delivery of an International Golf Event
  • Conduct performance reviews of team executives
  • Manage site operations: planning and staffing
  • Oversee team travel schedules
  • Oversee the scheduling and management of temporary event staff
  • Manage the volunteer programme


  • Contribute to post event reporting
  • Give regular updates to Senior Performance54 management and other stakeholders as required


  • Experience working within a staging and operations team, 3-5 years at least
  • A knowledge of event components including supply chain, electrical, structures and scheduling is preferred.
  • Be an excellent communicator and team player
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong leadership characteristics
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong budgeting skills
  • Ability to use project management software such as
  • Comfortable talking to stakeholders at all levels
  • Valid driver’s licence.
