ROLE OVERVIEW:
The opportunity exists for a dynamic, motivated and experienced Project Manager or Consultant to join the Performance54 team as Consultant – Events. The role will support the senior management team to provide strategic and pragmatic consulting support to our clients’ objectives. The candidate will be responsible and able to engage and impress all levels of a client organisation. The candidate will be working with sports bodies, investors and partner organisations. The desired candidate would have event experience and possess an understanding of the sport event ecosystem, have strong personal motivation, and be comfortable working both supervised and unsupervised. The candidate should enjoy traveling and be comfortable spending time away from home to support delivery of world-class consulting support.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Track record of working on complex change-orientated or growth marketing projects in a fast-moving, customer-orientated agency or business
- Highly numerate – able to articulate ideas based on quantitative analysis and in reference to benchmarks
- Strong understanding of the sports industry, and the events space in particular
- Ability to work at pace and yet retain a keen attention to detail
- Self-starting attitude, keen to join an entrepreneurial organisation where every working day is different
- Intuitive and self-motivated understanding of the business of sport
- Demonstrable attitude and energy to keep pace with the demands of high performing teams
- Support on new business opportunities to grow the consulting practice
- Collation of multiple data sources to organise and present documents to senior management
- Liaise with client Committees to support the production and management of Action trackers
DESIRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Sports or Entertainment sector, and at least 2 years in a management consultancy firm or agency environments.
- Previous experience working within major events
- Entrepreneurial attitude
- Strong quantitative and conceptual problem-solving ability
- Fluency in English; other languages an advantage
- Proven interest, passion or involvement in sport and the business of sports and events
- Be an excellent communicator and team player
- Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to use project management software such as Monday.com
- Comfortable talking to stakeholders at all levels
