The opportunity exists for a dynamic, motivated and experienced Account Director to join the Performance54 team, initially overseeing the delivery of key clients’ golf marketing activities in UK & Ireland, Continental Europe, Africa, US and South-East Asia. The desired candidate must boast strong media contacts in major European and Asian markets, as well as an understanding of media trends, social media and digital media, and be experienced in writing multi-platform PR and marketing strategies for clients and overseeing a team to ensure delivery is of an excellent standard.

Tasked with delivering key client objectives across traditional and non-traditional distribution channels, the candidate must hold an in-depth knowledge of the golf industry, its stakeholders and influencers, and be available to travel internationally (where required) to oversee project delivery. Candidate must be able to or be willing to integrate all marketing strategies into sales channels whether direct to consumer or via trade or business channels.


  • Sales & Marketing Planning
    • Develop annual (and ad hoc project-based) marketing strategy for clients (across destination, brand and event marketing)
    • Provide client insight on best-practice
  • Sales & Marketing Implementation – managing initiatives including (but not limited to);
    • PR & Communications
      • Drive the development of all planning documents
      • Hold strong relationships, and liaise regularly with, senior members of the media and partners
      • Conceptualise creative solutions to deliver media coverage in all relevant markets
      • Encourage strategic thought to develop concepts that meet client objectives
      • Deliver strong editorial coverage
    • Social Media management
      • Oversee development and delivery of social media plans, with the support of Account Executive and Account Manager
      • Analyse data to identify opportunities that will enhance campaigns
    • FAM Trips
      • Identify attendees capable of meeting client’s business objectives
      • Full-service delivery from planning to hosting to securing media coverage
    • Content Development (in conjunction with production partners)
      • Work with production team to conceptualise unique content ideas
    • Work in conjunction with marketing functions, whether internal and external resources, to deliver best-in-class results e.g. advertising and content teams
  • Client Liaison / Account Management
    • Ensure client reports are delivered in time and are meeting KPI’s
    • Hold strong relations with client and lead all conference calls and meetings
  • Partner Management
    • Have strong relations and regular dialogue with partners to develop solutions in-line with client objectives
    • Understand the intricacies of each partner and how solutions will often be bespoke for each
    • Hold strong industry relationships (attend industry events to develop network)
  • Research & Analysis
    • Work strategically and utilise primary data to inspire creativity
  • Team Liaison
    • Be an excellent communicator and team player
      • Important given Performance54’s international remit (and overseas offices)
    • Liaise regularly with other departments to ensure alignment
    • Contribute good insights in senior management meetings
    • Encourage and develop best-practice across the business
  • New Business Pitching
    • Lead on the creation of new business pitches and decks

    • Provide intel (e.g. industry knowledge) around prospective new clients for Performance54
  • Reporting
    • Concise updates to all directors on client delivery and new business opportunities
    • Present to staff during company forums
