England Golf, the governing body for amateur golf in England, is set to roll out the new World Handicap System (WHS) to over 1,800 golf clubs and 630,000 golfers in England on November 2nd. It will be the biggest shift in the handicapping system in modern history.
Performance54 has supported the England Golf team in developing WHS toolkit, featuring a brand-new educational campaign called ‘Know the Score’, to help them educate their members on the key features of the new system. As part of activating ‘Know the Score’, Peformance54 has also been responsible for managing PR & Communications around the WHS implementation, to generate further awareness and education ahead of the November launch date.
Most recently, the Rick Shiels Golf Show podcast featured a special, hour-long episode on the WHS with Gemma Hunter, England Golf’s Head of Handicapping & Course Rating, to celebrate the launch of Know the Score and unveiling of the toolkit.
