ROLE OVERVIEW:

The opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, driven, and creative Ticketing Manager to join the Performance54 team, leading the development and delivery of the ticketing strategies for its portfolio of international events. The desired candidate will be based out of the Performance54 office in Camberley, with regular international travel required.

A passion for the game of golf and an understanding and experience of developing ticketing sales platforms and cross-channel marketing strategies for major sporting events is required, as is experience in delivering successful results for brand new event properties in emerging markets. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a talent for developing creative ideas and activations, which can contribute to successful ticket sales, and will be comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously and to tight deadlines.

 

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ticketing Strategy Development, Integration and Activation

    • Working with Performance54’s Events Operations, Commercial and Marketing teams, develop a paid ticketing strategy for its portfolio of international events (currently eight events per year). This will include pricing structures and promotional calendars, the delivery of the latter being assisted by the wider Events Marketing Team.
    • Develop online ticketing functionality in co-operation with 3rd party ticket providers, ensuring ease of use for customers and the gathering of useful insights and data to continually improve this function.
    • Integrate the ticket sales process and promotion within the event marketing function, liaising with the Campaign Manager, Advertising Manager, Social Media team, Creative Manager and others to ensure that delivery and timelines are optimised for successful accomplishment of the ticket sales KPI for each event
    • Identify, engage and on-board schools, golf, community and special interest groups in each event location, in order to encourage local interest and incentivise attendance at each event. Attend local territories ahead of each event (8 per year) in order to support this function.
    • Conceptualise, develop and lead specific promotional campaigns (both paid and organic) in collaboration with the wider Event Marketing Team, in order to encourage the local community to purchase tickets
    • Ensure a best practice approach to email communications and data storage, with the view to building and activating an engaged database that delivers significant ticket sales
    • Ensure alignment with the event brand and narrative for all events, supporting wider event marketing KPIs

 

SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

In addition to skills commensurate with the above, the successful candidate will display the following:

  • Proven experience in conceptualising, creating and delivering comprehensive ticketing strategies for sporting events which delivers high attendance figures
  • Experience of delivering creative promotional activities for tickets, including email, advertising , content and social media campaigns
  • Experience of managing 3rd party ticketing platforms and delivering effective promotional activity via their owned communications channels
  • Experience in leading creative designers in development of assets required within ticketing strategy roll-out
  • Interest in professional golf is required; experience of golf event marketing is desirable
  • Stakeholder management experience, dealing appropriately and communicating confidently with C-Suite individuals internally and externally
  • Budget holder and responsibility for ticket promotions spend
  • Committed to detail and adherence to timelines, planning documentation and process
