The opportunity exists for a dynamic, motivated and experienced Staging and Operations Director to join the Performance54 team, to oversee the delivery of our events. The Staging and Operations Director will be responsible for all aspects of staging and operational delivery. The desired candidate must boast extensive event experience and understanding of the professional golf event ecosystem, its stakeholders, rightsholders and suppliers. They must boast strong personal motivation, and be comfortable working remotely and unsupervised, and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A keen eye for detail and ability to work to tight deadlines, with excellent communication skills.

Tasked with delivering core aspects of the events, and supported by Senior Performance54 Management, the candidate must be comfortable managing a variety of relationships and have the ability to work in different cultures.


Strategy & Planning

  • Lead on operational, logistical and technical delivery and execution of events
  • Recruit local, experienced resource to compliment event delivery team
  • Management of supplier briefs, contracts, and scopes of service
  • Lead on hospitality planning, implementation and delivery at the events
  • Management of the event staging budgets (inc. operations, logistics, hospitality, technical production)
  • Manage any insurance, legal, health and safety obligations associated with the events
  • Liaison with stakeholders on event delivery, timelines and status
  • Research suppliers/contractors and negotiate prices
  • Support client, rightsholder, stakeholder and internal team calls, meetings and workshops
  • Support across host venue agreements and requirements
  • Support across supplier negotiations, requirements and services

 Leadership & Coordination

  • Be an excellent communicator and team player
  • Liaise regularly with other departments to ensure alignment
  • Contribute good insights in senior management meetings
  • Encourage and develop best-practice across the business
  • Provide insights and development of direct reports
  • Lead a team of skilled professionals to deliver a wide range of activities ensuring high standards of engagements

Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Concise updates to stakeholders in a timely manner about event delivery and status
  • Produce post event evaluation to inform future events
  • Present to staff during company forums

  • Annual Discretionary Company Bonus – up to 8% – 3% Company & 5% Individual
